A red light is a red signal and the highway will be closed Sunday morning as crews work to repair damage to a highway on Highway 1 near Victoria.
The lane reopened just after 5:30 a.m. and reopened about five hours later as crews worked to repair the damaged section of Highway 1 south of Victoria.
The lane reopened about two hours after the accident occurred.
The road is currently closed to vehicles due to damage to the road surface and the bridge.
“Traffic is limited at this time,” said Const.
Scott Taylor with Victoria Police.
“Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes, such as a one-way road, through the affected area.
The Victoria Police Highway Patrol will monitor the situation as more information becomes available.”
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
No further information was immediately available.
